Sarah's Concerto

Sarah had to perform in a  competitive audition to win one of eight spots for the Jordan High Concerto Night. She worked very hard to be able to win the spot then continued practising for several months to get ready for this very special honour. Here is the biography that appeared in the program:
Sarah is a senior at Jordan High School. She has been playing the flute for 8 years. She presently studies with Susan Goodfellow. Sarah is also currently first flute and section leader of the flute section in Jordan High School’s Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra. Sarah has played solos in the National Flute Federation Competition receiving excellent ratings and in the solo and ensemble festival also receiving very high ratings.
Sarah’s activities outside of music include Sandy Youth City Council, Special Needs Mutual, math tutoring, and teaching in Jordan High’s preschool. Sarah is also very academically involved. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She has also received an AP Scholar award and has taken 7 AP classes.  Sarah is very thankful to her family, flute teacher and friends for their support, guidance, and encouragement in her life.
